Repair Terms of Service

1. Scope of Services

  • UnBorked agrees to inspect, diagnose, and repair customer gaming systems as requested.
  • Repairs may include hardware replacement, soldering, cleaning, or other technical services.
  • Any additional work outside the agreed scope will require customer approval before proceeding.


2. Customer Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information about the system’s issues and prior repair attempts.
  • Remove personal data, accounts, or accessories not required for repair.
  • Pick up repaired systems within 60 days of completion notification.
  • [Mail-in] Ensuring device is packaged with proper packing materials. a checklist is provided to assist.


3. Estimates & Pricing

  • Customers will receive a repair estimate before work begins.
  • Estimates are subject to change if additional issues are discovered during repair.
  • Payment is due upon completion and prior to release of the repaired system.
  • Should the customer refuse service after diagnosis the customer is responsible for a $45 bench fee.

    • If left unpaid after 60 days section 8 is applied. 


4. Parts & Materials

  • UnBorked uses new, refurbished, or third-party parts depending on availability and customer preference.
  • Customers will be informed if original manufacturer parts are unavailable.
  • Parts warranties are subject to supplier terms.


5. Warranty & Liability

  • UnBorked provides a 30-day limited warranty on repair labor.
  • Warranty covers the specific repair performed, not unrelated issues or new failures.
  • UnBorked is not responsible for:
    • Pre-existing damage or unrelated malfunctions
    • Damages caused in shipping
  • Loss of saved data, accounts, or accessories.
  • Damage caused by misuse, accidents, or unauthorized modifications after repair.

6. Turnaround Time

  • Typical repairs are completed within 1–2 business days, depending on parts availability.
  • More advanced repairs can take up to 5-10 days.
  • Rush service may be available at additional cost.


7. Communication

  • Customers will be notified via phone, email, Discord or text when repairs are complete.
  • Updates will be provided if delays occur due to parts sourcing or technical complications.
  • Response time can may take up to 24 hours


8. Abandoned Property

  • Systems not picked up within 60 days of completion may be considered abandoned.
    • This also applies to mail-in repairs, that have not been paid for past 60 days.
  • UnBorked reserves the right to recycle, resell, or dispose of abandoned property to recover costs.


9. Agreement

  • By submitting a system for repair, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the terms outlined in this Service Agreement.
